Background The third edition of the annual Body-Cam Conference took place on June 5, 2024, in Cologne, Germany, this time under the proven motto “Expertise — Network — Best Practice.” Following the success of previous conferences and the positive feedback from participants, the goal was to once again make the event a place for exchange and further training.

The conference serves as a platform for the exchange of experiences between experts, users, and decision-makers from the fields of public transport, local authorities, and security services. The focus was on practical applications and training related to the use of body cameras. The full-day event was opened by Prof. Dr. Lutz Hagner, CEO of NetCo Professional Services GmbH, who also served as the event’s master of ceremonies. Dr. Christos Katzidis, Member of the State Parliament and spokesperson for domestic policy for the CDU in Northrhine-Westfalia, delivered an inspiring keynote address entitled “Security motivates and brings success,” in which he emphasized the importance of body cameras for public safety.
