DB Regio is setting another example for greater safety in regional rail transport and has equipped 15 train attendants in Hesse with body cameras. The customer service representatives will now wear the small high-tech cameras, particularly on the Hanau-Fulda (Kinzigtal) and Frankfurt-Darmstadt-Mannheim (Main-Neckar-Ried-Express) routes. (Source: FFH) DB Regio is taking action after an increasing number of physical and verbal attacks on train staff in regional transport were reported. In addition to Hesse, DB Regio has already successfully introduced body cams in other federal states to protect staff from assaults. One example is the Black Forest Railway, whose train attendants have been equipped with body cams since last year (Body cams on the Black Forest Railway (netco.de)). The de-escalating effect of the cameras deters potential perpetrators and gives customer service representatives a greater sense of security. Passengers are also protected by the use of body cameras. ## New model: the Body Cam Pro
In future, DB Regio will also be using the new Body Cam Pro (NetCo presents the new Body-Cam Pro) with longer battery life and an improved display. The new model also boasts higher recording quality and a revised design for even more user-friendly operation.
