On 14 June 2023, the NetCo Body-Cam Team invited security experts from a wide range of industries – including private security services, transport companies, police forces and public order offices – to the second Body-Cam Conference in Cologne. After the first conference last year (2022) was so well received by participants, we were able to top the success of the previous event this year and were delighted with the consistently positive feedback from participants. ## The conference programme Once again this year, security experts had their say at the Body Cam Conference. We at NetCo simply hosted the event. It was important to us that the programme had something for every participant, so we examined the topic of body cameras from different perspectives. In addition to a presentation on data protection regulations for the use of body cameras (Björn Stürz Academy // Sascha Kittelmann), we also learned how cameras can best be implemented in a security company (Dr. Harald Olschok // HOT-Consulting, Security Advisory Board of KÖTTER Security GmbH & Co. KG). KVB gave us insights into its pilot phase (Jürgen Kircher // Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe AG), and DB Sicherheit gave a presentation on the use of body cameras from testing to regular operation (Marcus Schermann // DB Sicherheit GmbH). The Federal City of Bonn, which also uses and highly values body cameras with front displays, reported on the use of cameras in the city’s public order service (Sascha Hessenbruch // Federal City of Bonn).
Mr Servas from the Berufsgenossenschaft VBG presented the possible uses of body cameras for security service providers.
Mr Kluttig from LOGO Bochum GbR brought a completely different perspective to the topic: he provided participants with psychological tips for the successful implementation of body cameras in service companies and public authorities.
There was plenty of time between presentations for the audience and speakers to engage in conversation. The participants gratefully accepted the opportunity to network – and even exceeded our expectations! We extended the breaks several times so that fruitful discussions did not have to be interrupted. ## Third Body Cam Conference 2024
